The worst thing
One of the biggest challenges in life is to be yourself in a world that is trying desperately to make you like everyone else. Every day children are being ostracized and bullied simply because they are different. And what crazy things we all do to fit into the popular crowd? We have felt the pressure to conform and heard the cruel jokes.
People laugh because we are different. Perhaps we should be laughing because they are all the same? Today, let’s celebrate our differences. Embrace what makes us unique and special and stop trying so hard to be like everybody else.
Romans 12:2 says, “Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”
Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive, who is youer than you.
The worst thing I could be is the same as everyone else. Comments
