Pray
Do not be anxious about anything . . . Pray . . . And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. . . Philippians 4:6-7
Lord, teach me to pray. Too often my heart is cold and my words are mechanical. I spent too much time trying to say the correct words instead of spending time in communion with you. Lord, help me to breathe my selfishness and breathe in your presence. Remind me that prayer is not overcoming your reluctance, but laying hold of your willingness. . . . Prayer is me, putting myself into your loving hands. Lord, teach me to pray. Comments
